Born Melbourne
1959
Graduated B.Sc (Forestry) after studies in Melbourne and Canberra
1960
Full time painting and printmaking in Sydney
1964-65
Travelled to Europe. Studied etching in Escuela Longa, Barcelona
1967-74
Taught printmaking at the National Art School
1975-76
Taught printmaking at the School of Art, Alexander Mackie CAE
1986
Resumed teaching printmaking part-time, City Art Institute, Sydney
Since 1969
David Rose has appeared in numerous Biennales in Australia, Bulgaria,Egypt, Ireland, Italy, UK, Yugoslavia,Poland, Norway, Spain, Germany, Japan, USA and Portugal
