A Family's Devotion to Art

John and Madeleine Winch met at the National Art School, Sydney in 1966 as students. In 1967 they married and together they combined their art with bringing up their family, often travelling to different parts of the world where they set up house and studio.

Their two daughters Martina and Jessie are both now successful artists in their own right. They grew up immersed in art and have both developed their own strong individual styles showing independently in solo and group shows.

For years it was John's wish to have a joint family exhibition. This show turns his wish into reality and is another tribute to John, who passed away suddenly on March 28th 2007. He shared his deep passion for art with his family and it is an important event for all four Winches to show together for the first time.
